I’m a Canadian Author, Coach, Speaker and Creator.

Born and raised in the multicultural city of Toronto, Canada, I’m still frequently asked the story behind my name, as Avrahm is the Hebrew equivalent of Abraham, and my surname, Reindorf, is very German.

Although my father carried a Germanic surname, many of our family ties were from neighbouring Poland, likely having Russian and Slavic roots.

My mother is native to Trinidad, with ancestral ties to Venezuela and Haiti. As with many Caribbean peoples, our African lineage and Indigenous roots are strong.

My Journey

I’ve always been interested in learning about my culture.

It’s a deep rabbit hole though.

One thing I learned very quickly is that the average family doesn’t journal or keep written records about their family history, so they’re often limited to stories passed on from just a few generations back.

After losing my father to complications with Multiple Sclerosis when I was 17, and growing up in a Caribbean household with a very Jewish-Germanic name, this is what sparked my curiosity and the beginning of the all-too-common, self-discovery, self-development journey.

Why I Do This Work

Composing words into books has not only transformed my life; it has opened up something deep for those who were seeking answers for themselves.

In a world where much of our experience is influenced by theory, religious doctrines, politics, philosophy, scientific literature and our surface-learned experiences, there’s also a world that exists for all of us, in which we don’t know what we don’t know.

Our greatest contributions to society often require us to interact with each other, fearlessly sharing our stories, all while keeping an open mind to things that are new and/or foreign to us.

This is why I chose words to connect with people.

The characters in my novels are relatable, since they’re intentionally created as versions of ourselves or people that we actually know.

Their traumas are exposed to the readers as a means of understanding why the characters wound up the way they did, as well as what prompted their healing journeys. The stories function as a mirror to our own life experiences.

The conversations between the characters are either interactions we’ve all had before or wished we had with the important people in our lives.

This is why I took the time to share my thoughts with you.

A Vision for Inspiration

Aside from reading many books, doing years of transformational work through courses, and eventually becoming an author and coach, I’ve dedicated my life to learning about myself and the people that I share my human experience with.

I’m intentional about motivating and inspiring others through my work in writing, speaking, coaching and creating.

My novels are a reflection of both the darkest and most vulnerable moments of my life, combined with the most brave and inspired moments. It provided for me the distinction between knowing myself on a surface level, acknowledging the way I show up through the eyes of others, and knowing that I’m a student of life and still have so much more to learn and experience.

I’m grateful that you took the time to read my bio and I look forward to connecting with you as we collectively embrace this wonderful adventure called life, filled with transformation, trials and tribulations.
